U don't have to upgrade your roxio to put a bunch of mp3's on a cd. Just use
the Data setting and put them on there that way. But you won't beable to
play them in a reg cd player unless it says it will play Mp3's.

The easiest way is to just to use Windows Media. Put a blank cd in. Open
Windows Media Player. Click Burn. Add your songs and click Start Burn. You
can do the same with Real Player.

Somehow the last Vista update messed up my laptop so I had to reformat.

I remember that well because I thanked Patti for "RESENDING" the movie that
THE OTHER MEMBER" had previously sent.. Because for some reason I didn't
receive it the first time... And because of Patti's generosity I was able to
still get this movie... So thanks to Patti AGAIN even tho she is no longer
around to receive my thanks. And SHAME on this other member... It's because
of members like you that the world is in turmoil! My own opinion..
Everybody is allowed an opinion I think... And if I get in trouble for it...

Yes Patti left the group. A member went off on her because she sent the same
file that member sent. I had told Patti to just let it go and I had told
that member that it isn't a big deal if the same file was sent repeatedly.
Patti just felt it was too much drama for her. I did ask her to come back to
the group but I don't think she is going to.

Just remember that all electronics can sudden go "belly up". <S> I have
six 1T Seagate Drives and four 500 GB Seagate Drives along with some other
smaller ones. I learned after losing 2T of things it took me years to
collect as well as irreplaceable photos etc. that you need to back
everything up. So I really only have 3T of goodies and it's all backed up
on the second group of drives - and then two 500 GB backed up on the other
two.

I lost my main internal hard drive and then had the dern backup drive go bad
while I waited for the new drive so replace the internal drive. Talk about
POed!!! <S> The nice thing about Seagate is the Free Agent drives are
guaranteed for five years. You just send them $20 and they send you the new
drive first, and you use the packaging and postage to return your bad one to
them. Five years is a really good timeframe for a hard drive.

I agree, Seagate is better. I even had a Wal Mart clerk tell me never buy
WD as she said she saw alot get returned. I have a Maxtor 500 GB and a
Seagate 1.5 T now

did you run the disk defragment? some computers mark the good sectors bad if you run disk defragment.
