if you just formated you most likely need to reinstall the sound drivers
or update them

missing my mixer devices. Don't have a clue what that means. So thanks in advance.

you need to know what sound card you have to get the right one.. if it has
integrated sound then you need to know what motherboard is in your system
and then you need to find the sound drivers for that..if you can get me the
info I can get you the drivers for it... os has nothing to do with it for
the most part it is a hardware issue... but if you let me know what os you
are running I can make sure there will be no issues with it as well but most
of the time it only matters what sound card or motherboard you are using...
Let me know if I can help ya... Crazyhorse.

well if you would be patient you'd know that wasn't why i was asking which
OS they are using but you seem to be much smarter at this than i am so
i'll let you take over from here. on a laptop unless they have the description
of the components they wont be able to figure that out very easy and doubt
they wanna tear it apart to see what they have.

for someone that don't know much about computers one of the easiest ways to
find out this info is to download belarc and install that.. it will tell you
just about anything you would ever need to know about your system... just
some good info for you.. I was not trying to step on any toes but the os as
you know has nothing to do with sound drivers.. I know where you where going
but there are faster ways to do it so I just thought I would try and help
out because this person sounds like they are really wanting to get this
system up and running again.. I also have access to get drivers that some
don't have so that can also be an advantage I am not sure if you have or
not.. again sorry not trying to step on your toes just trying to help out
another member in need... Crazyhorse.

I got mine at either a TA truck stop or a Pilot truck stop.. can't remember
what one but I know it was one of them as they where the ones I used
most..lol.. tell him to just keep his eyes out they will usually put them
out by the register when they go on sale.. I think it was wheatridge, Co
where I got mine at and it was the TA truck stop but not positive but I do
know they do have sales on them from time to time. mine fell apart it got
used so much and I put it in a binder in them plastic sleaves and it was
even better than having the book together I think..lol. good luck finding
one... Crazyhorse.

Another good one is mytinyphone. com if your looking for free ringtones. However it does have an annoying pop up that can be confusing. If your looking to put entire songs on your cell phone a good site for that one is airmp3.net

Need help... Have no idea how to update the codecs... I've been online
trying to figure this out since you replied. I usually use Windows Media
Player to watch all my videos and with this one (Charlie Brown's Christmas)
its plays just fine as far as video goes, but there is no sound at all. I
ve had this happen with several other movies as well but the majority of
them do play fine. I did go to the Windows website & try to download WMP11
but it says that I already have the most updated version on my computer.
Any suggestions on how to update the codec or what else may be wrong or
missing that's causing the sound not to work on a few of my videos. I
really want to burn this one to DVD for my kids to watch but I'd like to
know that it works with sound before I burn it. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,
Kathy

Google codecs for your os and you will find tons of them free.. you can also
try installing gom player and vlc player they include codecs that windows
media player don't have and a lot of times that will fix your problem.. I
like to use gom player myself to play my videos but I use all of them at one
time or another... if the video don't play in one it will usually play in
the other one... give that a try and see if that helps ya... Crazyhorse.

No conversion needed. Put it on Minimum burn, and
you can get 4 or 5 movies on 1 DVD.

When I go to record a movie,it doesn't work.Think it is a format problem.
Most of the movie that I have been downloading are AVI.
How does one handle this problem?
In the program I see ISO ,and Udf,s
Do I need to convert or can you change Nero to handle avi formats?
I have never used Nero before either and that don't help.

because it hasn't been posted on any or the torrent sites yet for download.

there is no screener of it anywhere and there hasn't been a cam copy listed yet. it could be that not many people went to see the movie so the number of people who cam a movie is down on this one.
if and when it comes up, I know I will be downloading it and I am sure other torrent site users in the group will also and it will come thru. But again, remember if it's not a popular movie at the box office, it could take weeks.

hang in there!
