Welcoming a New Member of the Six Apart Family

Vox Talks: November 2009

Exciting News from Six Apart

Last week, I posted in Team Vox about an exciting new addition to the Six Apart family. We saw a need for something the lived between the quick status updates of Twitter and Facebook and the long form posts of "classic" blogging. Enter: TypePad Micro, a new free level of TypePad that is streamlined for microblogging.

TypePad Micro is great for the blogger who wants to easily share stuff from around the web to a large audience. What makes Vox unique, and, in my opinion, one of the best places to blog on the web, is that Vox always has been—and always WILL be—the best place for “friends and family” blogging, where you’re in control over who sees what. Read more about Vox’s Privacy Settings and why posting to your Vox blog doesn’t mean publishing to the whole world.

I would love to hear your thoughts about where we should take Vox in 2010. You can leave a comment on the Team Vox post or, as always, send me a message.

'Twas the Month Before Christmas

It’s pretty much fact nowadays that before the trick or treaters have even had a chance to check out their loot, the Christmas decorations have magically appeared, twinkling and shimmering in store windows and town squares. But with Thanksgiving just a few days away, there’s no denying that the holidays have arrived.

So whether you’re a planner who gets her shopping done in July, or the kind of guy who hits the mall at 9 p.m. on Christmas Eve (excuse the stereotypes, please), Best Buy wants to know in today’s QotD: When are you planning on beginning your holiday shopping?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Whether you’re going over the river and through the woods or staying home, I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving feast with your friends and family.

Gobble Gobble,

daisy, Team Vox
