Josie Geller, at 25 the youngest Chicago Sun-Times copy editor, really is
good at her job, which requires brain more than writing skills. The owner of
the paper now wants her and no other to report undercover about today's high
schools. Josie enrolls and quickly falls back into her own school habits:
She was then known as Josie Grossie, she did not make any friends, she even
was humiliated. Now, with a good job in her life and with her experiences
from a life after school, she tries to fit in as well as possible. Having to
seek friendship with some pretty but not very bright girls instead of with
the people who really interest her gets really hard for Josie, but her job
is at stake, if there is no gripping cover story soon. Falling for a teacher
whom she is ordered to shred to pieces in her article, Josie is confronted
with her greatest conflict - but also with the chance to undo mistakes she
did in her own school days.

I open a new mail and a PRIVATE response to mail between two people is suddenly put out to the whole list in an incomplete way. A way that makes me sound like I did something wrong. I wrote in response to the initial mail in the same manner wrote to us...I responded with the following...

   Keep watching television and believing everything you see. Go ahead and think that all americans are exactly what is portrayed on television. I guess that might separate us eventually. For years, and that means more than 40, I have refered to the television as "the boob tube". Anyone who watches it, and is moronic enough to believe everything they see, automatically earns the associated title, BOOB!
   You are from Australia, and if I may be allowed to use your own way of thinking, it must mean that you drink heavily, live in the outback, don't follow any known religon, have no idea what the english language is, are uneducated, and tell stories so tall that they reach the clouds! After all, I saw the films about the crocodile guy (Dundee was it?) and his cohorts on TV and that is exactly what was portrayed! Are you happy with this assessment? It was on TV so it MUST be true! How proud YOU must be!
   I have an idea. Why don't you come on over for a visit? No charge! You will see a sight that may amaze you! Regular people (just like you) who work hard, don't watch much television, are educated (Yes, All four members of my family have degrees), respect others, go to church, contribute to our community, and know what the word "manners" means.
   We don't act rude to others, we don't treat others like they are inferior, and we surely know the difference between reality and television. It's funny to me that the rest of the world can watch a show put on by some network trying to maufacture good ratings, and assume that what they view is historically correct. Looking at the above example, imagine what we Americans would think of the other peoples of the world if we would take the same stance?
   It's ok though. I truely understand. How Americans are portrayed throughout the world is so slanted that nothing I could ever say will change anyone's mind. Especially a closed one. To think, the United States is made up from all the peoples of the earth, yet it seems that the only thing the other countries of the world can do is criticize anything American.
   No problem though. Keep on bashing. Next time the world gets clobbered by another Hitler like dictator, call someone who cares. It won't be us! We'll most likely be watching TV...

You never stated that you saw the next episode, and never told of how the story unfolded. I never once said I didn't want to hear it, but from your most recent post, I see that I am now accused of that! All I got from your post was that I should be ashamed of the actions you witnessed on TV. The information I spewed about what I saw on TV (Dundee) was completely accurate to the STORY. I just threw it back your way, the same way you threw it to me. Funny how when the shoe is on the other foot everything changes huh? My fault I guess. Right.
I never said that I want you to bash Americans, again something you accuse me of. Your post accused Americans of being the way you saw in the STORY and how we should be ashamed. You DID bash Americans!
Did you bother to read your own writing? Or is that expecting too much?
Good Lord, why are YOU so offended? Did I ask the wrong questions? Did I not send you the same type of dribble you sent us? Am I now to assume that you should be allowed to speak your peace without giving someone else the same opportunity? Are you one of those "do as I say, not as I do" people?

There are 9 seasons total, and i need them off my computer LOL. The seasons

A high-powered consultant in love with her upscale Miami lifestyle is sent
to a middle of nowhere town in Minnesota to oversee the restructuring of a
blue collar manufacturing plant. After enduring a frosty reception from the
locals, icy roads and freezing weather, she warms up to the small town's
charm, and eventually finds herself being accepted by the community. When
she's ordered to close down the plant and put the entire community out of
work, she's forced to reconsider her goals and priorities, and finds a way
to save the town.
