ok tried to update all those i mention before, and it will not let me. I

Yes that's right, sometimes you do. The link I sent is a direct link to the
audio drivers for that model laptop. If nothing has been changed out and it
is still the same audio card that it's always had then downloading the
driver from the link will fix it.
I have a compaq presario laptop myself (different model that the one stated)
and that is where I get all my drivers and have never had a problem with any
of them.

ok, i went to the link and it directed me to a driver detective, that i have to pay to use. And i've tried to go straight to legacyaudiodrivers.com, and got nothing there either, any other suggestions?
