Lady Sings the Blues (1972)
Chronicles the rise and fall of legendary blues singer Billie Holiday. Her late childhood, stint as a prostitute, early tours, marriages and drug addiction are featured.
A lost Diana Ross album of standards is to be released 35 years after the soul great recorded it as a companion to her Lady Sings The Blues soundtrack. Ross, who portrayed torch singer Billie Holiday in the cult film and received an Academy Award nomination, recorded the songs for Blue in the early 1970s but the project was shelved as the singer started promoting her hit pop album Touch Me In The Morning. The lost tracks were filed away and only recently discovered in Motown's vaults.

Which Way is Up? (1977)
Richard Pryor is playing three different roles here. The first being a poor orange picker named Leroy Jones who gets laid off when by mistake he joins the worker's union during one of their demonstrations. Afterwards he is forced to leave his wife and family behind which also includes Leroy's father (also played by Pryor) to go to Los Angeles. Leroy ends up working for the same company that fired him back home. He is a manager at the company but he is now distant from his former pals. He meets and falls in love with Vanetta who is a labor organizer which leaves him splitting time between his wife Annie Mae and Vanetta. When Leroy finds out that the Reverend Lenox Thomas (also played by Pryor) has got his wife pregnant while he was absent, he then make the moves on the reverend's wife.

Blue Collar (1978)
Three workers, Zeke, Jerry and Smokey, are working at a car plant and drinking their beers together. One night when they steal away from their wives to have some fun they get the idea to rob the local union's bureau safe. First they think it is a flop, because they get only 600 dollars out of it, but then Zeke realizes that they also have gotten some 'hot' material. They decide to blackmail their union. The best reason for that is the union itself. All three are provoked by the fact that the union claims to have lost 10,000 dollars by their robbery.

Joe Braxton is an ex-con who has been given a second chance to freedom after violating his probation. Brewster is a minor league baseball player. Unknown to him, he had a (recently deceased) rich relative. In order to test if Brewster knows the value of money, he is given the task of disposing of $30m in 30 days. Brewster isn't allowed to have any assets to show for the $30m or waste the money in any way. If successful, Brewster gets to inherit $300m. The biggest problem of all however, is that Brewster can't tell anyone what he's doing, so everyone thinks he's crazy. Add to this the fact that if he fails, two scheming trustees will get their hands on the money, Brewster's task is not an easy one.

Meet Arlo Pear! He's a family man with a loving wife, a rebellious daughter, twin sons, and a half-dead dog, he's also got a nice job with the city in New Jersey. He's a mass transit engineer. But one day Arlo is fired so he must try to get another job. He finds a similar one to his old one, except it's in Boise, Idaho. Sounds good to Arlo, so he can finally get away from his insane neighbor who has a lawn mower the size of Pennsylvania. Only problem, how to break it to the family? Two former cons now movers show up with King Kong Bundy. Now, they gotta find a new house in Idaho. They soon find their dream house, so they return to New Jersey and head off to Boise. Arlo hires a man (Dana Carvey) to drive his SAAB to Idaho, not knowing he's a man of eight personalities. And if that isn't bad enough, their new house is not what they expected, and their neighbor in New Jeresey's twin brother lives next door and he's got a gigantic mower also. And as if things couldn't get any worse, they do. Arlo loses his new job and the movers never showed up. So now it's time for Arlo to kick some serious A$$!

Richard Pryor was one of the funniest men who ever walked this planet. Pryor came from humble, impoverished beginnings which saw him grow up in his grandmother's brothel and the documentary follows his rise as one of the greatest stand up comedians of all time. Also it will look at his troubled private life as he wrestled with drug abuse.
The show was filmed in front of a live audience in California in 1979, and the atmosphere that envelops the viewer is more akin to a rock concert than stuffy comedy club.

Chronicles the rise and fall of legendary blues singer Billie Holiday. Her
late childhood, stint as a prostitute, early tours, marriages and drug
addiction are featured.
A lost Diana Ross album of standards is to be released 35 years after the
soul great recorded it as a companion to her Lady Sings The Blues
soundtrack. Ross, who portrayed torch singer Billie Holiday in the cult film and
received an Academy Award nomination, recorded the songs for Blue in the early
1970s but the project was shelved as the singer started promoting her hit
pop album Touch Me In The Morning. The lost tracks were filed away and only
recently discovered in Motown's vaults.

Which Way is Up? (1977)
Richard Pryor is playing three different roles here. The first being a
poor orange picker named Leroy Jones who gets laid off when by mistake he
joins the worker's union during one of their demonstrations. Afterwards he is
forced to leave his wife and family behind which also includes Leroy's
father (also played by Pryor) to go to Los Angeles. Leroy ends up working for
the same company that fired him back home. He is a manager at the company but
he is now distant from his former pals. He meets and falls in love with
Vanetta who is a labor organizer which leaves him splitting time between his
wife Annie Mae and Vanetta. When Leroy finds out that the Reverend Lenox
Thomas (also played by Pryor) has got his wife pregnant while he was absent,
he then make the moves on the reverend's wife.

Blue Collar (1978)
Three workers, Zeke, Jerry and Smokey, are working at a car plant and
drinking their beers together. One night when they steal away from their wives
to have some fun they get the idea to rob the local union's bureau safe.
First they think it is a flop, because they get only 600 dollars out of it,

Harvey and Zoey, two tourists travelling through Israel, discover an
ancient scroll describing the life of Herschel, the man who was almost Moses.
Herschel receives the command from God to free his people from Egyptian
slavery, but Moses keeps blundering by and taking all the credit. Several other
biblical stories, such as Lot and his wife, David and Goliath, and the
miracles of Jesus, are also parodied in this story of the life of a man trying
to follow the path to God, but somehow always seeming to lose his way.

Bustin' Loose (1981)
Joe Braxton is an ex-con who has been given a second chance to freedom
after violating his probation. He has been hired by a school teacher named
Vivian Perry to repair and drive an old school bus and drive a group of
Special kids to Ms. Perry's Washington Farm from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to
give them a new home after The Clarmont Center for Children is shut down by
the city. The kids have severe mental problems and Joe is not looking
forward to the trip at all, but Joe later bonds with Vivian and the children,

social worker and Vivian's lover who gave Joe his break is hot on their
tail and wants Joe back in prison. Joe and Vivian must now prevent Donald

The Toy (1982)
On one of his bratty son Eric's annual visits, the plutocrat U.S. Bates

Brewster's Millions (1985)
Brewster is a minor league baseball player. Unknown to him, he had a
(recently deceased) rich relative. In order to test if Brewster knows the value
of money, he is given the task of disposing of $30m in 30 days. Brewster
isn't allowed to have any assets to show for the $30m or waste the money in
any way. If successful, Brewster gets to inherit $300m. The biggest problem
of all however, is that Brewster can't tell anyone what he's doing, so
everyone thinks he's crazy. Add to this the fact that if he fails, two scheming
trustees will get their hands on the money, Brewster's task is not an easy
one.

in a drug incident. As he lies unconscious in a hospital, his spiritual
alter ego gets up and begins a journey of his own. He revisits his life, from
growing up in a brothel as a child and struggling to beat the long odds to
become a top rated comedian.
However, his success brings new problems as he develops a tragic pattern
of substance abuse that be gins to screw up his life. All the while, Jo Jo's
spirit watches these events and attempts to convince his past self to turn
off from his path of self destruction.

Moving (1988)
Meet Arlo Pear! He's a family man with a loving wife, a rebellious
daughter, twin sons, and a half-dead dog, he's also got a nice job with the city
in New Jersey. He's a mass transit engineer. But one day Arlo is fired so he
must try to get another job. He finds a similar one to his old one, except
it's in Boise, Idaho. Sounds good to Arlo, so he can finally get away from
his insane neighbor who has a lawn mower the size of Pennsylvania. Only
problem, how to break it to the family? The decision is soon made: they're
moving. Now they've got to sell their house which has hilarious results, so
now they need to get movers.
Two former cons now movers show up with King Kong Bundy. Now, they gotta
find a new house in Idaho. They soon find their dream house, so they return
to New Jersey and head off to Boise. Arlo hires a man (Dana Carvey) to
drive his SAAB to Idaho, not knowing he's a man of eight personalities. And if
that isn't bad enough, their new house is not what they expected, and their
neighbor in New Jeresey's twin brother lives next door and he's got a
gigantic mower also. And as if things couldn't get any worse, they do. Arlo
loses his new job and the movers never showed up. So now it's time for Arlo to
kick some serious A$$!

OMG!!! That's with 80 sunscreen? I would not be using that brand ever
again. I'm going to assume (dangerous I know) that you went to the doc
since you have meds for skin/sun poisoning. Did you happen to get some
silvadene cream? That stuff is MAGIC!!! I keep it on hand at all times
just in case I do get sun burned. I hope your pain level is lessoning and
that you are feeling better daily.

now and i think it is an great group.... the movies are great but when you
have a problem someone always has ways to fix it... which makes a person

i was to i had fibromyalgia and a bunch of other things at the age of 26 and
i was told that i would not be walking at 35 because i have a spine of a 90
year old... but i will be 43 in a few months and i am still going.... i took
all kinds of the meds .for 8 years and then that caused me to become a
diabetic...like i needed something else ...lol.... i figure that maybe i can
help others by what i have been through .... all my friends wonder how i
keep going and i think that makes them stronger too... because they see me
doing and they keep going too...

I woke up to go to the bathroom and thought I would check the group before

I don't generally get ticked over things that happen in the group that may
be off a little or out of line, but I must admit, this did it!
Every day I have members leave the group for whatever reason. I never know
why, they just unsubscribe and it's their right to do so. Also, I have
always stated that if you have a problem or something on the group upset you
whatever, email me directly. I think what did it for me was that if Blue
wanted to bytch, it could have been done to me directly. If Blue wanted to
leave the group, then Blue could have unsubscribed. But in my eyes, Blue was
looking to stir the pot......... Blue was either looking to down me, which
hey I don't care about that, or Blue was looking for validation from the
group, or Blue was just a Drama Queen.
Well, Blue hadn't unsubscribed from the group when the members where
responding to the LEAVING GROUP email.
Blue is now gone! I have removed Blue from the group and Blue has been
banned.
I thank you for getting my back. I do appreciate it.
In the years I have had this group, I have allowed chat, etc to go on. We
have shared illnesses, prom pictures, births of babies, weddings, support
when someone needed a shoulder, etc. Life is too short. See, I am one of
those people that believes everyone is a good person. Yeah there are a few
rotten ones but for the most part, people WILL help their neighbor. and I do
believe we are all the same no matter what color, religion, nationality,
political view etc. We have the right to agree and the right to disagree.
so thank you again everyone.... ........and damn Should have sent this to
Blue, just thought of it, didn't Blue just change the subject from movies
