I cleaned out the cache, emptied the recyle bin and rebooted my PC and downloaded the file again. But I got the same thing again, almost instantaneous download of a 750mb file. I think I'll give up and struggle on with Office 2000.

it's showing conflict because it started downloading before and it's in you cache

when you click download, make sure you download it to a different location than the one you have, ex......in your documents make another folder and download it to there. if you read it it says" select another download location"

I don't know why the whole thing didn't download the first time OR
the file you have, just delete it *the whole thing* and then clean out your pando cache and try to download it again.

This still isnt downloading right - see the attached screen shots of what I'm getting.There are only part of the files fully downloaded and it appears to download them without showing on the pando console..??? ?

when I click to run the setup, vista says its not a genuine microsoft program

perhaps rename *.dll.downloading *.dll (maybe this replaces all the .dll files - then do all the exe and in files?

Got any suggestions - other than requesting that you change the upload that you did for us?

Usually if a file from pando says .downloading , it generally means it hasn't finished downloading.
I am going to send disc 1 and 2 seperately and see if it downloads then. Just make sure that it downloads completely.

Sooo, here's the story - I gobbled Sims3 up a long time ago from another group - and FINALLY got it to work using the attached instructions from a wonderful lady who took pity on my plight.

I've forwarded the "installing Sims" for dummies instructions to your private mailbox Lessie. I hope you can get it done - cause honestly, it's been so long I pretty much have forgotten it all. I don't know how much help I could be...but I remember the instructions being my salvation.

I played that game for three days straight with practically no sleep - and JUST when I was finally getting somewhere in my career and social life - I got white hair and died!!!! I gotta say - I wasn't ready for THAT.... I've got troubles enough for real without playing a game that heap more stress on my little self LOL..... I quit that day and haven't looked at it since.

Anyway, the reason I'm posting here is in case anyone else might want the instructions I spoke of. If there is any need for them, please just let me know and I will send them privately.

I don't think anyone feels that way at all. No need to take the lack of responses personal, I am pretty sure nobody feels any ill will towards you, I couldn't think of any reason why! Remember, this is a movie list and Sims is a game. Myself, I download plenty of stuff, and usually try to help when I can. But I have never done anything with the game Sims and wouldn't be much good to you. Seems to me that from the number of responses (0), I am not alone in this lack of knowledge about this game/download.
I find it a bit strange (and like you, frustrating) that the original uploader (or sender) refuses to respond, even if to just tell you they don't know. Sometimes folks pass things along that they recieve, but don't use themself. There isn't anything at all wrong with that, those folks are just sharing, but when you download you are taking that step "by yourself" so to speak.
My advice is to just wipe it out and forget that download. There are many more that will wind their way through, Sims included, that you can nab. Or you could request it...maybe get lucky! LOL Sometimes free downloads come with a price, and it sounds like you just paid the piper. Look on the bright side...you'll have that much more memory to fill with other useless junk!!! ROFL

Yeah,thats all I got too,but then the download link does say 4 files - does the 20 refer to the decade John Wayne made the movies or his age at the time??

I like most of the movies he made from the 1940's onwards. Back in the 60's & 70's I dont think I ever missed a new Wayne Movie.

The producers of The Hurt Locker have officially filed a suit against 5,000
BitTorrent users for copyright law violations.

Voltage Pictures is seeking $1,500 from each defendant in order to settle
the suit, making it one of the biggest lawsuits against individuals in
history. The suit warns people named that a failure to settle will result in
the case being taken to court, where the plaintiffs will seek 10 times that
amount.

Voltage does not have have the names of the defendants, but it does have a
list of IP addresses for them.

I love everyone on here as well. But you know what I love even more? When people use punctuation in their messages from time to time.

It's extremely difficult to understand folks on here sometimes, when they just write continuous sentences, with no punctuation or capitalization to indicate the end of one thought and the beginning of a new one.

I don't mean to be anal about it, but please, for the sake of my sanity, try to use some punctuation. And don't get me started on learning the difference between there, their, there and they're, you'll just make my head explode.
