You are so right Michael. Wireless is much slower than broadband and being

I live in Georgia and my father-in-law in New Hampshire. We have been

It was a horrible mess. Would get cut off. Picture quality was horrible.
Sound would go in and out. I kept telling him it was his wireless setup. He
had a tech come to his house and maximize the wireless router. Still the
same thing. He kept arguing with me that it was not his router because the
tech told him that it was just as fast as cable. He would download something
and it would take him a lot longer than me. Finally about 6 months ago he
switched back to cable and ever since then it has been perfect. Another
friend here where I live went wireless with the same company I use for cable
His downloads were really slow. Mine were 7 times faster than his. This guy
actually works on computers for a living. It took me 6 months to convince
him it was his wireless causing his problem. Switched back to cable and he
was right there with downloads the same as mine. I have convinced so may
people of this now. Wireless is not the way to go if you want speed and fast
downloads and uploads.

You might think so when when you get back on a wired router you will be
shocked

Wireless routers Data Rates Up to 300Mbps
Frequency Band 2.4GHz

Wired routers 1000Mbps

EVERY computer here is wireless and they all run fast!!
We have AT&T Uverse @ 18 mbs and my modem and everything is next door (we
own a duplex) because it was the only place with a phone, cable and outlet
next to a TV,
I can still download a movie in 15-20 minutes and watch movies/tv online
with no problems.
My son plays online both with his PC and PS3 with no problems.

Well then don't go wireless lol its way slow. That's what get me why people
pay good money for high speed then hook up wireless lol . I have wireless
for the laptops here but when doing any downloads they get plugged in to the
cable. I couldn't think what it would be like trying to stream a movie off
the net on wireless lol

I would have to say the Seagate FreeAgent Theater HD Media Player is the
better one but they are both good ones but it depends on what you want or
need... here is the links to check them both out on the seagate website.

http://www.seagate
com/www/en-us/products/home_entertainment/freeagent_theater_plus/

http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index
jsp?name=ST902503CEA1E1-RK-fa-theater-250gb-hd&vgnextoid=3e0017e4fe101210VgnV
M1000001a48090aRCRD&locale=en-US

as for how many movies you will fit on a 250Gb well the standard movie movie
is about 700 mb so that being the case you will fit about about 360 movies
and that will be 246.09375 .... gigabytes if the movies are 700 Mb each but
they very in size so you will get a few more or less on it..

I hope this info helps ya out... Crazyhorse.

way you got it but you lose everything you had so best to try and get it to
boot up F8 will boot to safe mode Or if that don't work then try and get to

Three ways to recover the PC to the original operating condition
You have a choice of three ways to run a recovery and return your computer

Windows Update and the HP Health Check to install all updated drivers and
software.

1. If computer can boot to the Windows desktop, launch the Recovery

If you want to do a reinstall of Vista then tap the F11 key continually
during boot up. This will bring you to the Recovery Options were you can
choose to restore the system to the same state as when it was purchased

Hi, Thanks for any help you can give. Ok I just got back to start this again
and when I turned it on. NOW it stops at the Compaq screen - and says this.

Esc to change boot order

<F2> to enter setup, <F12> to boot from LAN

I push each one it said and it does nothing. I would rather not have to deal
with this problem but I have no other choice right now. It just keeps
getting worse. So yes if you can walk me through the install I would be
grateful.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE GREAT MOVIES !!!

In a message dated 4/8/2010 9:22:42 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time,
TagsNTubez@aol.com writes:

WE DON'T HAVE TOO MANY FRIENDS...........JUST GOOD FRIENDS

Let's see if you send this back...

A farmer had some puppies he needed to sell.
He painted a sign advertising the 4 pups and
set about nailing it to a post on the edge of
his yard. As he was driving the last nail into the
post, he felt a tug on his overalls. He looked
down into the eyes of a little boy.

"Mister," he said, "I want to buy one of your
puppies."

"Well," said the farmer, as he rubbed the sweat
off the back of his neck, "These puppies come
from fine parents and cost a good deal of money."

The boy dropped his head for a moment. Then
reaching deep into his pocket, he pulled out a
handful of change and held it up to the farmer.

"I've got thirty-nine cents. Is that enough to take
a look?"

"Sure," said the farmer. And with that he let out
a whistle. "Here, Dolly!" he called.

Out from the doghouse and down the ramp ran
Dolly followed by four little balls of fur.

The little boy pressed his face against the chain
link fence. His eyes danced with delight. As the
dogs made their way to the fence, the little boy
noticed something else stirring inside the doghouse.

Slowly another little ball appeared, this one noticeably
smaller. Down the ramp it slid. Then in a somewhat
awkward manner, the little pup began hobbling toward
the others, doing its best to catch up...

"I want that one," the little boy said, pointing to the
runt. The farmer knelt down at the boy's side and said,
"Son, you don't want that puppy.. He will never be able
to run and play with you like these other dogs would."

With that the little boy stepped back from the fence,
reached down, and began rolling up one leg of his
trousers.

In doing so he revealed a steel brace running down
both sides of his leg attaching itself to a specially made
shoe.

Looking back up at the farmer, he said, "You see sir,
I don't run too well myself, and he will need someone
who understands."

With tears in his eyes, the farmer reached down and
picked up the little pup.

Holding it carefully he handed it to the little boy.

"How much?" asked the little boy.. "No charge,"
answered the farmer, "There's no charge for love."

The world is full of people who need someone who
understands.

Amy darlin, you are not alone you can talk to an of us anytime just write

it took my legs to where I am wheelchair bound for the rest of my life I am
only 36 years old
I have 3 daughters my oldest is almost 20 and my younger ones are with
their dad so they don't see what I am going.. It's hard enough for my
oldest to see it but she is strong she helps me in every way possible thru

since been recalled... their is no cure for what I have they have all kinds

to go thru yet another surgery to have a pain pump put in just to be
comfortable till I die... my nerves and muscles throughout my body are dying

where its cold and in the mountains where the sun is not hot and I can
actually go outside again. i ave been locked in the house for 6 years the
only time I get to get out is if its cold and in the 50's -70's and at night

I bought a Seagate here in the USA from Walmart online, and paid $100 for
the 250GB which I think is enough since I erase after watching the movies
and add new ones.

will someone share the link of where u got yours and maybe the price? I've
seen all prices and am not sure which is a good one. Also, is it better to
have the 250 gb or 500gb? Anyone know how many movies u can get on the
250gb?

I never heard this seagate free agent theater media player. I have and
bought WD TV. My guess its something like one being talk about here.. I can
connect 2 hard drives to it.. I have 1 TB and 500 GB. Its nice be able watch
anything off your hard drive.. Can this one play ISO files? WD TV don't list
it but it can.. These are great, no burning and wasting DVD..

I got mine last week and it is awesome. I had been burning movies, 5 to 6 to
a DVD and playing them on my Divx players. I have got over 4000 movies on
Dvd's and they take up a big bookshelf. I also refused to burn cams (would
not even download them) because they are usually so bad, it was useless to
burn them to a DVD. With this Free Agent Theater I now can preview all my
movies and if they are extremely good I will burn them to DVD. I even
downloaded and watched some cams. Good thing is if the movie is not good or
if it's a cam, I can just delete them. Not only am I happy with this, but I
now can view all my digital pictures, digital movies I make, and play all my
music with this one piece of equipment. Now I know that all this can be done
on my computer, but I will not watch movies on my computer and which is
better. A 22 inch monitor or a 52 Television. I'll take the T.V. everytime.
This was money well spent because it will save on the amount of DVD's and
DVD blank cases I will have to buy. It is just a great product for the price
and I highly recommend it to all. Now if only some new movies would come out
Has anyone else noticed that there have been very few movies lately and
there have been no screeners, R5's etc; of the one's that are out now?
Wonder what is going on. Thanks!

Hi Tammy,

when you get to that screen use the Arrow buttons to hilight the movie you
want to
watch, you will then see a little circle in the lower left of the tv it will
say Loading then just hit the Select button on the remote, give it a few sec
s and you should be good to go.

I ordered and received my Seagate Free Agent Theater media player yesterday
with the 500 GB hard drive.
Hooked it up with no problem and loaded my movies and TV shows with no
problems...

Problem is the movie/show is only on one side of the screen and pretty small
The other side is the list of what's on the drive . Anyone know how to make
it full screen?
The instructions are pretty useless and only show how to hook it up.

Other then the tiny box I love this thing!

Child support today doesnt put a dent on raising a child today. You Amy get enough for snack food!

It is not putting a price on kids it’s a cold hard FACT kids are expensive!
Just because a parent is not in the home doesn't mean they get a free pass to not support them. I sure as he** am!

My son is 16 and eats more food then a pack of wild wolves!
I just went to the store last night and since 8 pm he finished a whole GALLON of milk along with other things. My food bills alone for him are more then the ex pays!
So I sure don't feel the least bit guilty for making him help support his child!
There is school crap, yearbooks, pictures, dances, clothes which seem to only last a couple months, glasses, dental bills, doctor bills, video games, Now he talking driving and a car!
School projects- One right now was to make a garden, So far my cost $100.
I need, I need, I need, is all I hear!!
And you think its bad that the other parent has to pay to help support the kid he brought into this world?? That is UNBELIEVABLE!

ALL of you are putting a price on your kids........ UNREAL. how about forget what you get or dont get and consider what the kids that YOU brought into this world are getting or NOT getting. UNBELIEVABLE !!!

My ex thinks he has it bad! He pays me $375 a month for child support, And is always running behind by at least 2 months!
He can come up to NC anytime he wants to see his son (he lives in FL) and I even let him stay here! When his last ex (he is getting divorce #5) tossed him out and he called me upset he had no place to live I offered him my spare bedroom if he wanted to clean it out and pay for a storage bin up the road at $60 a month - What ex does that?
Last summer I didn’t let him take his son but only because his work kept him away a lot overnight and I didn’t want him there alone all night. This year I am letting him go for 4 weeks *if* they promise he will call me when he is away for a long time. Our son will be 16 in Sept but he has Asburgers and sometimes doesn't use his god given brain!

And he still complains!
Someone tell this an how good he has it!!

oh it is not for me either but I can sure see why it is a sore subject for you.. I had to pay $1200.00 for awhile but most of the time I was paying about $700.00 a month for child support and that was bad enough.. she also made it so I could not see any of my kids either so that was not any fun either. now that they are all over 18 she has no choice so she can go screw herself now and in fact I guess she did she is divorced again and no one wants her now..lol. not even my 2 oldest kids they want nothing to do with her and she brought it on herself so I think she is getting what is owed to her now for a change.. my youngest with her my daughter wants out of her house she still lives at home with her but she wants out and calls me almost everyday when her mom is not around.. she told me if she talks to me when her mom is around she gets yelled at for it so I have a feeling she is going to get to a point she is going to see how her mom really is and how much crap she told her as well and she will also turn her back on her..
my youngest son will not even talk to her anymore and he is in the national guard and he will not even tell her when he is deployed or where he is even at.. I saw all 3 of my kids and my oldest sons wedding and there mom was there and the only one that really even talked to her was my daughter my oldest son did a little but not much and my youngest son just turned his back on her and walked away as soon as she came up to him for anything.. it was a funny site to see and to think she thought she was going to keep them from me and turn them against me and I think she turned them against herself and not me like she thought.. they know what she done and seen it for them selves and now they want nothing to do with her.. they will not even tell her where they live either so ya it is the price she gets to pay after all she done to them and the way she kept them from me I don't at all feel bad for her.. the story goes on but ya you get the idea...
