Become a quadriplegia where your feeling is from just above your nipples and
up ... then you wont have pain. Won't have quite a few other things either
but no pain.

The neurologist wants to start me on epidural shots every month. I told her
I don't think I can go through with it. I had a botched epidural 11 years
ago when I was having my son. I haven't really had any problems until about
a year ago. Now about every few hours, I feel like someone is sticking a
syringe in my spine and then I get a burning sensation traveling through my
spine. It dissipates but it's bothersome. Don't you ever feel like you don
t know what it's like to be OUT of pain?

I know what you mean. LOL. I take one valium everytime I went in for the
spinal injection. God I love that pill. Doctor wont precribe it cause it is
addicting, but get this. She gave me fentenol patches (opium). The
neurologist about flipped. LOL

I can't thank you enough for sending this in. I have been in pain for years
and it just keeps getting worse. Right now all I know for sure is that I
have degenerative disk disease, arthritis in my spine, herniated and bulging
disks, and that's it so far. I feel like my hands don't work anymore, no
one can touch me because my nerves are so raw, and I'm either numb or
tingling at all times. My doctor put me on a new medication on Tuesday and
by Wednesday I was suicidal. I was rushed to the ER where they flushed the
drug out of my system. Not a good time. So now I'm back to square one. My
hands are buzzing right now with no relief in sight. I am being tested for
MS too along with everything else.

When the mysterious pain and debilitating fatigue plaguing a loved one is
diagnosed as "fibromyalgia, " the first reaction is usually relief at
finally having a name for the pain followed by confusion as everyone
scrambles to get information. What does a diagnosis of fibromyalgia mean? Is
there hope that things will get better?

Filmmakers Daneen Akers and Stephen Eyer asked these questions when Daneen's
mother was diagnosed with fibromyalgia several years ago. After watching
their family search for answers, they decided to make a film about their own
journey for understanding and hope. They interviewed doctors, experts, and
most importantly, Daneen's mom and other fibromyalgia patients from diverse
backgrounds who share their own stories of learning to survive and even
thrive with this illness.

The result of over two years of interviews and research, Living With
Fibromyalgia is the film they wish their family could have watched together
when they first heard the word "fibromyalgia. "

I honestly believe what most dr's fail to understand is that living in
constant pain can cause someone to want to die! I know having fibromyalgia,
osteo arthritis in both knees and spinal stenosis, to the point that I can't
stand for 5 minutes nor walk 1/2 a block without pain so bad that I am in
tears and break out in a sweat. So I use a wheel chair.
15 years ago I went to see a specialist at Hospital of Special Surgeries in
Manhattan and told him if he didn't do something my next appointment would
be with Dr. Kavorkian..........they did nothing for me, I was too young for
a knee replacement....................I would give anything to have 15
minutes pain free! only time that happened what after my hysterectomy they
gave me a combo of morphine, fetenol and valium injection! man I didn't feel
anything lol

they just don't get it

*Amen to that. Then hubby wonders why we cant have fun in the bedroom
anymore. Hell, I'm praying for separate beds and all he can think of is sex.
Hell, even the doctor is on his side. Says I'm too young to give up sex.
Sure thats all I need, my neck and arms feel like I have a rubber band
cutting off all blood flow and I have constant needles stabbing me in the
neck. That will put any woman in the mood for sex. Yep, they just don't get
it!

When the mysterious pain and debilitating fatigue plaguing a loved one is diagnosed as "fibromyalgia," the first reaction is usually relief at finally having a name for the pain followed by confusion as everyone scrambles to get information. What does a diagnosis of fibromyalgia mean? Is there hope that things will get better?

Filmmakers Daneen Akers and Stephen Eyer asked these questions when Daneen's mother was diagnosed with fibromyalgia several years ago. After watching their family search for answers, they decided to make a film about their own journey for understanding and hope. They interviewed doctors, experts, and most importantly, Daneen's mom and other fibromyalgia patients from diverse backgrounds who share their own stories of learning to survive and even thrive with this illness.

The result of over two years of interviews and research, Living With Fibromyalgia is the film they wish their family could have watched together when they first heard the word "fibromyalgia."

I appreciate that. It was a hard pill to swallow. I take Avonex injection's once a week. So far the doctors are keeping it in check. It started with slight numbness on the face. They gave me steriods and neurontin. Then they did MRI of the brain, Spinal Tap, and Evoked Potential eye test. all three tests came back positive. Now I can look back and see some signs I just blew off due to the Fibromyagia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrone. Mine was caught early thank god. Thanks, Diane

*I have had so many epidurals and they use to work for me. I love the medrol
dose pack. I get tons of energy and can be pain free. I don't understand why
they wont let me continue to take it. Doc tells me it's dangerous but wont
explain why.

15 years ago I went to see a specialist at Hospital of Special Surgeries in
Manhattan and told him if he didn't do something my next appointment would
be with Dr. Kavorkian... .......they did nothing for me, I was too young for
a knee replacement. ......... ......... .I would give anything to have 15
minutes pain free! only time that happened what after my hysterectomy they
gave me a combo of morphine, fetenol and valium injection! man I didn't feel
anything lol

they just don't get it

spinal injection. God I love that pill. Doctor wont precribe it cause it is
addicting, but get this. She gave me fentenol patches (opium). The

They are steroids, correct? Steroids suppress your immune system and, when
taken for long periods of time, make you susceptible to certain diseases and
infections.

they wont let me continue to take it. Doc tells me it's dangerous but wont

You are definately lucky to have caught it so early. Hopefully with the right treatment they can stop it from getting worse.

My sister has Lupus and takes Predisone 10 mgs a day. But It does supress your immune system !! Its not good to take long term unless you have no choices left. I only take medo packs when I'm having a flare up with the MS.  Diane

Tooth Fairy? Horror?

I thought "Wasn't that the movie with that Rock guy in a tu-tu?"

Horror?

Laughingly I thought, yea, it is a bit horrifying seeing Rock in a tu-tu...ROFL

But really...Horror?

"Who came up with this idea?", my thoughts continued... .
"Who's idea was this?"..."Who would finance a such a bad sounding movie?"...

Now I have never watched the movie itself, just saw the adds and such....
So my imagination started to take some wierd twists and turns (yes, more than usual...).

"What brilliant fool with too much money financed this deal?"
"Is this a horror, about a wrestling guy in a tu-tu, acting like...I guess...the tooth fairy???"
"What's he going to do, steal old teeth and destroy the world?"...
"What is he supposed to be, a Redneck Robin Hood?...in a tu-tu???"...
"Do these people have no shame at all?"...
My God...Hollywood. ..

ROFL...

Then...I opened the mail...

Reading, I found out that there WAS a horror movie about the tooth fairy...
Just not the one with the "Rock" in it...that's another story.

Then...it hit me...

My imagination is a bad movie that should never be financed!

ROFLMAO...

Now I have to go. I have two new tooth fairy movies to watch.

I'll probably end up in a freaking tu-tu...

Happy Wednesday all...
