Ok question for the ones of you that have these. I have a docking station
made by Thermaltake

http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx?C=1346&ID=1895

Its a usb attachment. I can plug it into my desktop, laptop or XBOX 360. And
copy or watch movies, tunes, games what ever I wont.
Has two Sata bays to hold what ever Sata drive you chose. And Sata drives
are very cheap now. Hot swapable (you can unplug and plug in on the fly)
For you that have a xbox or psp or will that has a usb port you can hook
right up to it.

But I like to have one of these FreeAgents . For you that have them I see a
usb port on them. Can you also plug in a usb memory stick into them ? If so
then I can use my cheap docking station that I just love and could not do
with out. People pack around a usb memory stick with them. Me I pack around
hard drives with me lol

They are not in the stores. Have to order it online. I ordered mine

7 to 10 days to get there. I ordered it on a Monday night and it was there
Wednesday at noon. It was actually shipped FedEx to Walmart.

got mine, and you can use any external drive, not only the seagate ones that
fit in the dock. I have a 1.5 tb drive I got from walmart for 160. They have

tested all of my Externals from this port. They all worked and played the
movies. I have one 250 gig externals, two 500 gig externals and two TB's.

That would be great for your Mother or your "Brat", especially if you have
a 8 gig or better flash drive. You most likely could get at least 7 to 8
movies on your flash drive and when they finish watching them, just delete
them and add some more. Like I stated earlier, I would not download a cam,
but knowing now that I can watch it on my big screen T.V. and then just
delete it makes it 100% better. I know several years ago when I tried to
convince people to burn their movies as Data, get 5 to 6 to a DVD and then
play on a Divx player I thought that was the greatest thing there was. I
have to say that this beats it.

Awesome!
I was wondering if a flash drive would work! That is great! I am going to
order the one you posted from Wal-Mart for my mother, Her birthday is the
28th!
I'll fill up the hard drive with movies and she will be set for months!
She is always asking me to burn this or that movie for her and this will
make it so much easier for me. I can just put them on her flash drive and go
and save on discs, I hate burning cams and things I know she will never
watch again. May get my brat one too...under $100 for the unit and the hard
drive isn't bad at all.

There is another one too, The plus? It hooks up with a HDMI...

Very simple to set up and it also has a USB connection on the front. You can
use flash drives or even another external hard drive here. This way you can
actually have the 250 gig hard drive that comes with it and also connect
other external hard drives or flash drives. All of my externals work with it
and they range from 250 gigs to terabytes. I put movies on them and also on
a 8 gigabyte flash drive and the movies all played great. This is the best
thing that I have found since discovering how to put 5 to 6 movies on a DVD
in 6 minutes without converting them and playing them on a Divx player. Just
a great buy.

Thanks Roggue, that's what I was thinking, I hate to pay double price, even
tho its double storage. I do burn keepers to DVD like u said, but I would
use this for when we travel in RV so it uses less room than taking hundreds
of DVD movies. It does work with regular TV too doesn't it? My RV tv's are
not HD.

Hi Tammy,

when you get to that screen use the Arrow buttons to hilight the movie you
want to
watch, you will then see a little circle in the lower left of the tv it will
say Loading then just hit the Select button on the remote, give it a few sec
s and you should be good to go.

Seagate Movie Theatre

Posted by: "Marie" mtnmagic@frontiernet.net   giagia1945

Wed Apr 7, 2010 9:57 pm (PDT)

Question was asked how many movies can 250 gb hold.
I have 269 on my Seagate 250 right now.
As already stated,I love, love love it.

I too am a disabled lady that is unable to stand or walk without assistance. This group & a few others are the Best Thing I have found,to chase the blues & we all got'em sometimes.

I started at a Pain Clinic today & pray that they are going to be able to help.
Nothing has in the last 5 yrs.My pain is constant.
I have had 3 back surgeries & knees replaced all within last few yrs.
Without my computer I would be so lost.

I am married to my HS Sweetheart & we just celebrated our 48th anniv.
He was Captain of the Basketball team & I was a Varsity Cheerleader & we eloped after the County Sectionals in 1962.
Our oldest son is 46.
Where did the time go?

Everyone said it wouldn't last & sadly those persons are gone now.

Just a little Bio on me,I'm not active in the Sharing yet,but want to learn how,I have never downloaded one of my movies to my computer yet,but I will learn.

Thanks for all of you wonderful people out there, that take the time to read these emails & offer, shares, prayers & hugs.
we all need them,
giagia

The plus also can hook up wirelessly with a adaptor.
Wonder if that works well? I returned a Netgear one that kept freezing and was just horrible!

I would have to say the Seagate FreeAgent Theater HD Media Player is the better one but they are both good ones but it depends on what you want or need... here is the links to check them both out on the seagate website.

http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/products/home_entertainment/freeagent_theater_plus/

http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?name=ST902503CEA1E1-RK-fa-theater-250gb-hd&vgnextoid=3e0017e4fe101210VgnVCM1000001a48090aRCRD&locale=en-US

as for how many movies you will fit on a 250Gb well the standard movie movie is about 700 mb so that being the case you will fit about about 360 movies and that will be 246.09375 .... gigabytes if the movies are 700 Mb each but they very in size so you will get a few more or less on it..

I hope this info helps ya out... Crazyhorse.

Does anyone know the difference in the 2 and which is better? Also, do u know about how many movies will fit on the 250 gb?

Damage is a 2009 action film starring Stone Cold Steve Austin. It is
written by Frank Hannah and directed by Jeff King. The film is a
hard-edged, bare-knuckles fight film that focuses on the tough choices
people make in times of recession. Damage is the story of John Brickner (Steve Austin), a man recently
paroled from prison, driven into the illegal world of underground
fighting. Brickner attempts to renew his life on the outside amidst a
world infused with degenerates, criminals and killers. With the help of
slick fighting promoter Reno (Walton Goggins) and his cut person Frankie (Laura Vandervoot), Brickner soon finds himself climbing the
underground ranks. The stakes escalate as Brickner puts it all on the
line in a fight to the death.
