it directly to that person, or post it in some central location?
4. Do I just post a message saying "Hey, I'm looking for x-y-z, or do
I go to a 'library' of some sort and look for it?
5. Finally, what does "ISO" and "PA" mean – a lot of messages have
this in the subject line.

I am not sure about your file extensions because I ripped a movie a few nights ago and it had the proper .avi extension when I was done. Pando is the site used to download and upload the movies/tv shows that are shared. Go to pando.com and install it for free. You create these pando files by uploading and downloading through pando.

The only programs that are allowed to be sent into this group are programs used for burning/ripping movies...other than that you would have to email ppl privately to share other programs with them, if they asked for it. ROFL...yep Stone Cold Steve Austin...and I don't know about him being the Million Dollar Man, I know he was in that movie Damaged or Damages..whatever it was called...haven't seen that one yet but I absolutely LOVE The Rock...I have his book and have watched all of his movies....that I know of lol ...Gotta love a great looking, dark-skinned man with a HOTTTTT body!!!! Ok need to go take a cold shower now LMAO!!!!

LMAO Temperance..you are sooo funny! Yea Stone Cold does look pretty scary and yea it is wayyyyy staged! We used to be really into Wrestling though when The Rock and Stone Cold were in it...we used to have other couples over for parties to watch the Pay Per View shows of it...but yea it's like a big soap opera lol ...but i'll leave your comment about eating you and spitting you out alone ROFL!!!

Just getting my feet wet in your group, so please pardon me if this question is too basic - what video file format do you all use? When I rip stuff from my DVD collection on my Mac, I end up with .mov or .m4v files. I THINK (but I'm not sure) that Windows ripped files have a .avi extension. Are there others? What is .rar? .mkv? Which format do you all use here? Thanks!

I can't answer you about the .mov or .m4v files but .rar is means it is packed using a program like winrar and you use winrar or something like it to unpack the .rar files...basically means you unzip them...and .mkv is another format like .avi..usually they are smaller in size ....here is what I found to give u a better description for .rar and .mkv
1. What is a RAR file
RAR is the native format of WinRAR archiver. Like other archives, RAR files are data containers, they store one or several files in the compressed form. After you downloaded RAR file from Internet, you need to unpack its contents in order to use it.
2. How to handle RAR files
WinRAR provides the complete support for RAR files, so you may both create and unpack them. If you installed WinRAR on your computer and downloaded RAR file from Internet, you may double click on RAR file icon to open it in WinRAR, select all files, press "Extract To" button, enter a destination path and press "OK". Another way is to click on the RAR file in Explorer using the right mouse button. If you enabled "Shell integration" option when installing WinRAR, the file context menu will contain "Extract to ..." item.

Some RAR files can be parts of multi-volume sequences. In WinRAR you can split a huge archive to a few smaller files, which are called volumes. They may have extensions .rar (the first volume), .r00, .r01, ..., or .part1.rar (the first volume), .part2.rar, ..., etc. If you need to unpack volumes, place all them to the same folder and start extraction from the first volume.
3. RAR versus ZIP
Comparing to ZIP file format, RAR provides a number of advanced features: more convenient multipart (multivolume) archives, tight compression including special solid, multimedia and text modes, strong AES-128 encryption, recovery records helping to repair an archive even in case of physical data damage, Unicode support to process non-English file names and a lot more.

Cindy,

Most of us use the AVI format for movies because that, AVI will play on most
of the Newer DVD-players. RAR is like ZIP it's a File Compression program,
Winrar, and RAR is just the newest way to do it.

Yes this is very annoying,I've tried to download this from several sources
and they all appear to be rouge copies. I've only found one genuine copy on
www.stagevu.com but its a very poor video cam copy.I think the guy operating
the video cam was pissed at the time

In this tribute to the old time spaghetti westerns with a liberal dose of
modern Hong Kong film-making thrown in, Emilio Estevez assumes Clint
Eastwood's "man with no name" role. Estevez plays a super-quick gunman on
the run from a rancher (Long) and his men out to kill him for killing his
son. The gunman gets mixed up with a former Confederate soldier (William
Forsythe) who has knowledge of hidden gold. The only trouble is he is also
pursued by Union soldiers. When they free a man (Ed Lauter) with part of the
map to the gold, they then are also pursued by Spanish soldiers. It all
leads to a small Mexican town terrorized by soldiers and led a by a good
priest (Joaquim De Almeida) who also has knowledge of the gold.

One of Sam's first profiles resulted in a man being sentenced to death. Ten years later when the man is about to be executed, murders begin happening that match the m.o. of the prior killings. Evidence leads to a lowly bicycle courier who is mortally wounded when he resists arrest. Once the dying man is in custody, the death row inmate is released from prison. Though a wrong seem to have been righted, Sam still feels something is amiss.
