Ok I have redownloaded ConvertXdvd, because I cannot find anything else to
use. It converts everything just fine. Then it looks as though it is
burning fine, but when I check the disk on the DVD player, it says bad disk,
on every single one of them. These are DVD-RW, and that's what I've used in
the past. I don't get it, can anyone tell me what the heck I'm doing
differently? Before the reformat, I was burning them just fine..
Thanks for any help!!

I know RW have to burn much slower, I use them on my DVD recorder, and it
only burns watchable at 2 or 4, nothing higher.
On the RW, they only erase and reburn decent a few times without errors I
have found.
Are these new RW you are using? or erased?
I buy a 100 stack of -R at a time, get a good brand there is a huge
difference in DVD quality.
http://www.digitalfaq.com/reviews/ dvd-media. htm
not all DVD's are made good, and some brands it is often known that half of
them won't give you a good burn.

I think I found a better way but maybe you already know?
I got so tired of burning all my movies to DVD's so I could watch them on my TV till I found this little jewel. This is the neatest thing to come along since the first DVD Player to play .avi files.
I was using 50-75 disks a month so I could share everything I downloaded with a friend. I told her I was going to find a better way and now she drops off her drive and I load it up in 10-15 minutes.
Yes some of the DVD Players will let you connect an external hard drive to them but this is so much better. The only thing you have to move is the FreeAgent Go Drive. Mine came with a 250 gig drive and there is an option for the 500 gig but I am glad I went with the smaller drive as it holds on average 250+ movies. and scrolling through that many movies would take a bit of time.
It plays everything it has the Media Player that connects to your TV and stays there and a USB Dock to connect to your computer plus there is a small remote control.
This is information I took from the Seagate web site. don't buy it there as they are not competitive. I will include a couple of links at the bottom of the page for some better deals. I bought mine from Amazon.com and I recommend them very highly. I had a small problem and they took care of it faster than I thought possible.
Check around for better prices I bought mine for $86.00 but they have gone up in the last week to a little over $100.00 but still you would pay that for a quality hard drive alone. Be sure to read the description carefully as there are FreeAgent media players without the hard drive for around $40.00
