1a.: Another problem

I uninstalled Pando last night thinking that might help with speeds.
Cleaned the register and reinstalled. Dontcha know it doesn't work now.
First trying to start it said most likely a firewall problem.. NOT.. after 3
hours. Its a standard blurb that set me on a wild goose chase. What it is
is it has to be "run as administrator" then it starts... but, clicking a
.pando file, it doesn't load to the loader and dragging to the window
doesn't work either. I'm remembering way back when they did updates
packages sent with the old Pando wouldn't work in the updated one... ooops
forgot to say.. that when I went to reinstall from my saved download file,
it wouldn't let me.. said there was a new version.. well that one I just
downloaded in February but I went to the site and downloaded the new one...
looks like the same thing to me.. but like I said it wouldn't let me install
what I had. So, I'm wondering if the .pandos I just saved yesterday won't
work with this new version? Can anyone help.. I've gone from slow to stop.

Did it all over again.. still can't load a .pando to it. There is no
firewall problem as I can download from a channel just fine. Makes me so
mad with those standard blurbs.. don't know why I didn't think of that and
save myself 3 hours messin with window firewall and my router.. geez.
Someone else was having this problem yesterday... if you see this, did you
find a fix. Peter at the Pando forum isn't answering anyone. Thanks.

Oh.. btw... if anyone has updated, turn your sound way down or off... a NEW
feature is adds that scream at you. :-(

Are you running Vista Pat?? I don't know for sure how to help you but I have vista, and a while back I was having trouble with Pando and uninstalled it and when I re-installed it, I couldn't get files to open either and so luckily a little help/tut thing was in pando that walked me through all these steps I had to follow to unblock pando so that it would work ..u might have to type in diff. things into pando help before you find what you're looking for to answer your problem.

*Jdownloader isn't really like Pando Angela, it is a programme where you
would download your Rapidshare links to and it should do it at a better
speed, I personally use IDM ( INTERNET DOWNLOAD MANAGER) to do mine and it
does speed up the downloading ( i have paid RS which is a huge difference in
speed compared to free RS )
I put about 10 links into the IDM and let it run and it downloads for me.I
have to say all downloading for RS links are much faster after 1am.So i do
most of my downloading then.

Frankie, i did the test within minutes of each other too and got 3 different
results, one told me it would take over
1 hr 50 minutes to download a film,when infact it takes more like 12
minutes.So i think that tester i used above could
be very misleading,and thought it was an advertising ploy,so i followed the
comparisons and it told me virgin media 50mbs
was the top choice, well of course it is and at a nice price too,so am still
sticking with my 10mbs with virgin which is fine for me.
I have paid hotfile too and it isn't great, it is better than a free account
though but is nowhere near as good as paid RS.
Pando ( according to the main download page) was downloading some items at
8kbs,21kbs and 125 kbs
i think those all depend on how many other people are downloading the same
item or if they have been fully uploaded
in the first place, who knows, i am just guessing ?

I agree, I tested mine and got this. My speed that I pay for is 18mbps. This says I'm getting 2.30

I don't think there really is a reliable way of checking your speed, I use speed test.net and depending on the server I connect to I get speeds varying from 3Mbs to 18Mbs and that's within mins of each other. I don't get any problems with Pando but I have an account on Hotfile and sometimes the download speeds aren't any better than the free downloads

I dont know why it wouldnt be in your pando packages..u didnt move it?? and about it playing..do u have another player to use to play it with? If so, make that player your default player and it will open with that instead or you can open it with another player manually by right clicking the file and click open with and then browse to the player you want to use to open it
