the option you are talking about is for uploading only ... not downloading

No I'm highspeed broadband and download from RS routinely at over a
Gig/sec across multiple files.. JDownloader holds 20 at a time so speeds per file
can vary. If I just download 1 or two at a time, its ususally about
1.3Gig/sec but has gone faster.. like around 1AM. My usual speeds on Pando no
matter what time of day are 8 to 16 Kb/sec dowloading and I'm uploading for
the first time and getting 32 Kb/sec. That last movie I downloaded took
3days and two nights.. no joke. Don't remember the size right now though.

You can do both upload and down load at same time. Most upload speed is
around 78KB/S thats very slow but it is limited by your server. Uploads are
slow for everyone. Your download speed looking like it really sucks. Are
you on dial up?

BTW.. I would like to ask something.. if you would help me out. So far,
with stuff loaded into Pando to download and taking forever and a day..
literally LOL... I have not uploaded. I have stuff I think people would like
and want to upload but have gotten the impression you can't do both at the
same time.. is that right? and since my download speeds are 8 to 16 kb/sec
or less, what would the upload speeds be? Usually upload is slower than
download so I just can't imagine. Is Pando different? Are uploads faster
than downloads? Thanks.

and their servers not being up to the traffic truthfully.. I don't know
but I think its just Pando and their servers not b Also, I think that if the
peer turns off their computer.. well, punt LOL until they turn it on
again. I have 5 movies "downloading" right now.. in quotes because they're
just sitting there.. "waiting for sender".. obviously a shut down computer. I
pause and resume now and then but it doesn't help. I fear they'll be gone

I love JDownloader.. what a difference it makes! the freedownloader I tried
was like a snail.. I complained to RS because with a premium account what I
was getting was too slow. The told me it was the downloader so I tried
JDownloader.. wow! what a difference. I had no idea downloaders could make
such a difference.

right address she wants mail sent to on her membership page. All I can

Travelogue
The Sex Lives of Cannibals: Adrift in the Equatorial Pacific by J. Maarten Troost
Narrated by Simon Vance
Unabridged
Length: Approx. 8 hrs. 35 min.
Format: Mp3

Description:

Although accustomed to globe trotting, Troost and his wife, Sylvia, were truly innocents abroad when they moved to the island of Tarawa in the South Pacific, where Sylvia had accepted a government position. Tarawa is the capital of Kiribati--a republic of tiny atolls located just above the equator--and the place where Troost's dreams of paradise were shattered. Although Tarawa has much to offer, such as stultifying heat, dogged bureaucracy, toxic water, La Macarena, and the fantastic rituals of the I-Kiribati people, it lacks running water, television, restaurants, air-conditioning, and, the most crucial amenity, beer. Culture shock ensued for Maarten and Sylvia, and he chronicles their two years on Tarawa in a hilarious, sardonic travelogue. Among the more memorable episodes is the time a simple fishing trip turns into a hunt for a giant thresher shark and when Troost blasts a Miles Davis CD to combat the incessant repetition of La Macarena. Troost's mystified admiration for the I-Kiribati people shines through it all, and readers learn how humor itself can be a necessary tool for survival.

At 26, Troost followed his wife to Kiribati, a tiny island nation in the South Pacific. Virtually ignored by the rest of humanity (its erstwhile colonial owners, the Brits, left in 1979), Kiribati is the kind of place where dolphins frolic in lagoons, days end with glorious sunsets and airplanes might have to circle overhead because pigs occupy the island's sole runway. Troost's wife was working for an international nonprofit; the author himself planned to hang out and maybe write a literary masterpiece. But Kiribati wasn't quite paradise. It was polluted, overpopulated and scorchingly sunny (Troost could almost feel his freckles mutating into something "interesting and tumorous"). The villages overflowed with scavengers and recently introduced, nonbiodegradable trash. And the Kiribati people seemed excessively hedonistic. Yet after two years, Troost and his wife felt so comfortable, they were reluctant to return home. Troost is a sharp, funny writer, richly evoking the strange, day-by-day wonder that became his life in the islands. One night, he's doing his best funky chicken with dancing Kiribati; the next morning, he's on the high seas contemplating a toilet extending off the boat's stern (when the ocean was rough, he learns, it was like using a bidet). Troost's chronicle of his sojourn in a forgotten world is a comic masterwork of travel writing and a revealing look at a culture clash.

Here's mine.. and I hear ya but when you belong to groups that both requires
Pando and mandatory sends.. well, that's what ya gotta do LOL These speeds
aren't true either because they don't account for the "waiting/connecting"
which is the biggest part of the time. Those two I'm downloading will take
two days constant on.. gauranteed. LOL

Sure do wish I could just send RS though and let someone else Pando them for
those who want them that way. I can download a RS, scan and repackage for
Pando in around an hour.. its just the sending that's a problem.... and I
love to share... When I have to send Pando files, I feel deprived. :-(

Its called the Spook Show and it was a one woman show in which she played several characters. One as a blond hair girl, one was a hippi, i forget the others.
Thanks so much. This is what I found on it.

After several stints with the Spontaneous Combustion improvisational troupe and work in avant-garde productions at Berkeley's Blake Street Hawkeyes theater, Goldberg devised The Spook Show, a one woman satirical production in which she played several characters. The show, which originated in San Francisco, eventually toured the U.S. and Europe, earning acclaim and the attention of director Mike Nichols. Nichols went on to direct a 1984 Broadway version of the show, which earned Goldberg Drama Desk and Theatre World awards, as well as a Grammy for the album recording

I wish it was the same for me... but no. I've tried everything... just
downloading one at a time and making sure its one that just came out... just
to check it.. trying to figure things out. But my speeds are always like
this. I did get a brief time of around 27kb on upload today though.. but it
didn't last... went right back to 18.

I posted a link somewhere to the Pando forum where people were complaining
about this so we're not alone. I learned there that it really has nothing
to do with Pando traffic either which is what I was originally told when I
first started using it. What I can't figure is why some people get better
speeds. I wonder if its the area of the country or something.
